- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆DO NOT DO YOUR BANKING AT MENDOLAKE CREDIT UNION! I work for the State of California. My paycheck has never bounced and never will. I have direct deposit right from the State Controllers office. It goes into my account on Midnight of the 1st of each month. The past two months MendoLake has held my money as (pending) until the 4th of the month! I need my money on the 1st, that is what I budget for. MendoLake has no business putting a hold on this money for 4 days!!!! They've got the money. It is an incredible hassle for me to have to wait that long to have access to my money! I have never experienced this with any other financial institution I have done banking with in my life. They also screwed up after I put a levy on someone's account that I had won a small claims case against by putting the levy on my account rather than the debtor's. This institution is just incompetent and greedy! I am switching to a different institution as soon as possible. I have been with MendoLake for a year and a half and that should be enough time for them to know my paychecks are good.By Kris Conrad, June 13, 2017
